Masks
The use of the mask is mandatory when:
- You are in a public transportation
- You enter a health care provider
- You come in contact with the public (eg. banks, super-market etc)
- You visit busy, closed spaces (eg. such as shops, grocery stores, malls, hospitals, beauty salons, etc.)

Tickets
This card is for you
You buy it at the Issuing Points in every metro station once and you can top it up again - so don’t throw them! You can use it to enter in the metro lines, buses and trolleys. - Normal ticket: 1.40 euros / 90 minutes - Discount ticket: 0.60 euros / 90 minutes - 24-hour ticket: 4.5 euros - 5-day ticket: 9 euros - etc.
This card is for citizens
The card has its owner name. You can pay per month/year etc.
Metro Lines
Here in Athens there are 3 metro lines: M1, Green line / Pireaus - Kifissia M2, Red line / Anthoupoli - Elliniko M3, Blue line / Agia Marina - Airport

Buses
Too many! For example, at Ano Patissia you could use the buses 3, 5, 11, 14, 500, A8. So, there is an app and a website to help you with that:
Taxis
They are everywhere. You can call a taxi in this number: 18180. If you want to find one via an app, you can search for:

Periptero
Periptero is a small kiosk placed randomly on the sidewalks of Greece. In these kiosks you can buy cigaretes, gums, magazines, snacks, ice-creams, and many many more things. You are out of chocolate? Oh yes, there is a periptero there, on the corner!
Laiki Agora
Laiki Agora is a flea market full of in season fruits and vegetables.
These flea markets are in a specific neighbourhoods around Athens, weekly.
For example, at Perissos, there is a flea market every Saturday.
There, you can also find fresh fish, wine, olive oil, spices, flowers...

Trash Bins
There are 2 basic types of rubbish bins.
The first type is the green or silver bins. Here, you can throw away every kind of trash - except the recyclable ones!
Second type, blue bins. This is for recycling paper, metal, plastic, glass.
